A Villa Pizzo Wedding Weekend on Lake Como

The weekend began with dinner the evening before. The next day, the bride got ready at Villa d’Este before she and the groom stepped onto a boat. In front of Villa del Balbianello, they paused for portraits—first close to the water, then from above, with the little boat surrounded by Lake Como.

A Summer Evening at Villa Regina Teodolinda

The captain could have taken them straight to Villa Regina Teodolinda. He had other ideas. After tracing a figure eight across the lake, he brought the couple in for an entrance everyone could enjoy. On shore, orange stripes, bright flowers and summer dresses gave the garden its cheerful, welcoming feel. It was beautiful without being the slightest bit stiff.

A Lakeside Wedding at Villa Pizzo

The following day belonged to Villa Pizzo. The couple married beside the lake, with that extraordinary view stretching out behind them. Afterwards, guests gathered in the garden for aperitivo while an artist painted their portraits. Before dinner, the couple danced—and really danced—with an ease that made the moment lovely to watch.

Dinner in the Villa Pizzo Glasshouse

Dinner followed in the glasshouse. As evening turned to night, everyone moved inside for music, dancing and late-night bites. Two days, two very different villas, and a celebration that had room for both a little theatre and a lot of heart.
